- Plans for future indexing (Scopus, WoS, BASE, DOAJ)
Southern Cross Academic Publishing is committed to building a strong and reputable academic presence through progressive indexing in recognised international databases. As part of our long-term vision, we are actively developing the editorial quality, ethical standards, and publication consistency required for inclusion in major indexing services.
Scopus
We are working toward meeting Scopus’ rigorous criteria by ensuring transparent editorial processes, adherence to COPE standards, high-quality peer review, and strong international diversity in authorship and editorial leadership. Our growing collection of multidisciplinary journals is designed to satisfy Scopus requirements for academic relevance, global reach, and citation impact.
Web of Science (WoS)
Our future indexing roadmap includes alignment with Web of Science quality benchmarks, including robust editorial governance, publication regularity, and scholarly significance. As our journals mature, we aim to apply for inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) as a key first step toward broader WoS recognition.
DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)
As a 100% Open Access publisher with affordable APCs and strong ethical policies, we are structuring our journals to meet DOAJ’s criteria for transparency, open licensing, editorial quality, and ethical compliance. DOAJ recognition will serve as an important milestone in demonstrating our commitment to accessibility and responsible Open Access publishing.
BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine)
To enhance global visibility, we plan to register our content with BASE, a leading academic aggregator of Open Access materials. This will ensure our publications are widely discoverable and accessible to researchers, institutions, and libraries worldwide.
Our Commitment
These indexing goals are supported by continuous efforts to strengthen the quality of our publications, expand international editorial representation, promote ethical research practices, and maintain consistent publishing schedules. By meeting and exceeding these standards, Southern Cross Academic Publishing strives to become a trusted, globally recognised platform for open scholarly communication.
